Halloween Parade ~ 30 October 2011

Langley Oaks is a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood located immediately west of Langley High School, north of Georgetown Pike and south of the George Washington Parkway in McLean, Virginia.   It is almost equidistant from the I-495 Beltway to the west and the CIA to the east.  The Potomac River is two thousand feet to the north through nicely-wooded parkland belonging to Fairfax County.   Virtually all of its three hundred and ten single-family homes were built on half-acre lots between 1975 and 1985.

The Langley Oaks Homeowners Association (LOHA) was established on 21 Dec 1976 and is duly registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Participation in the Association is mandatory for all property owners.  Each homeowner has a legal obligation to abide by all its documents and requirements and to pay the modest annual assessment in February.  The "Documents" tab at the left provides access to these documents.

The Association is governed by a Board of nine neighbors who volunteer their time and are elected by the general membership to serve staggered three-year terms.  Quarterly Board meetings are held in March, June, September and December and are always open to all Langley Oaks property owners and residents.  The Annual General Membership meeting is held in February at the Langley High School facility.  The "Members Area" tab at the left provides access to the Minutes of recent Quarterly Board and Annual General Membership meetings.

The Board of Directors determines the annual, mandatory dues amount each December for the coming up year.  The monies collected make possible such things as maintaining the front entrance area, publishing  a  newsletter, maintaining this website, supporting neighborhood activities and events, and snow-plowing the streets.  The "Members Area" tab at the left provides access to the latest Audit Report, current Budget and the most recent Financial Statements.

The Langley Oaks website is authorized, maintained and updated by the Board of Directors.  The Board hopes that you will find it helpful and informative.  Questions, comments or suggestions for improvement should be sent to the President or Secretary (see the Contacts tab).  LOHA is always looking for volunteers to serve on the Board or help in a variety of activities.
